Suji ka Halwa (Serves: 5-6, Preparation Time: 20 minutes)



Ingredients

  • 1 bowl ghee
  • 1 bowl Suji (rawa/semolina)
  • 1 bowl sugar
  • 4 bowls boiled water
  • 8-10 almonds (soaked in hot water and peeled)
  • 5-6 cashew nuts
  • 5-6 cardamoms finely powdered
Steps
  • In a wok heat ghee, add suji and roast till it turns golden brown

  • Add boiled water and cook till suji absorbs the water

  • Add sugar, the mix will now turn a bit watery

  • Cook on low flame for about 4-5 minutes

  • The halwa will take a nice dark brown color

  • Add finely powdered cardamoms

  • Let it cool and garnish with finely shredded almonds and cashewnuts
